Round 7 BMX National Series Ratoath

September 22, 2013

It all started on the Saturday 14th Practice day the sun was shining and the gates were set up for the last chance saloon, the talk of the day was ” Will it or Won’t  it ” was too early to tell so it was decided the start would be delayed till 2.30 pm on Sunday that gave some of the older guys an unfair advantaged, yep that’s right they could have that extra glass of wine or that sneaky pint and still feel fine at 2.30.

So onto race day .I woke up it was cold, wet and windy so I got out of that bed, and looked out the window  the weather had stayed true to its word and it wasn’t looking good it was wet and windy there too. FB was hopping all the riders made the journey some longer than others all the racers met at the track and a decision was made to run the National. 81 competitors took the decision to race it was a low turnout lets put it down to the weather and not that they were setting up their TV and favorite armchair for next week GTA 5. The rain had stopped but the wind was strong hurting the riders on the 1st and 3rd straight.

BANG and the gate was down it was the 6 & 7 Boys first away, leading the way all day was young Corey Waller followed by Callum,Charlie,James,Dylan,Cal, Tommy I cant stop smiling Campbell and Alex Waller.
