Ratoath BMX Takes on the World

March 9, 2015

Ratoath BMX are once again making arrangements to take on the UCI WORLD Championships 2015. This year promises to be a great year at the Circuit Zolder in Belgium. The Team will fly out the second week in July to get ready for one of the biggest weeks of their lives.

Last year it turned out to be a great success with the Guys and Girls doing well in their age groups, the training & coaching has got much tougher  and we feel we are in for a shout of some podiums this year. There is a group of about 30 Irish riders heading to Zolder to represent Ireland in 2015. There will be a great Team spirit heading over with parents, supporters and a nutrition chef flying in also thanks Fiona, not to forget about our Team Driver Tom.

With the Irish National Series starting the 19th April in Lucan it plans to be a great year for Irish BMX. We will be traveling the length and breath of the country with some of the Teams stepping up the mark with their flash new trailers. It should be a fun year for all the Teams they have come out in force this year, will it be Reconcile Meybo year with all their flash new gear and bikes or maybe Stay Strong, King N Leon, Route 55 again or Danger one of the new Teams.

Kings N Leon

There will be lots of individual  riders to keep and eye on starting with one of the youngest Evan Malone who is riding really well this year, Callum Dunleavy #121 and Carly Hayes #65 and our very own Eoin Corrigan who is taking the UK by storm. There are just too many stars to mention them all so the best way to see them is to get down to your local track and join in with the Family fun and racing a try and give it.

It promises to be a great year so if you haven’t been bitten by the bug, why not pop down and have a go on our track (Ratoath) and ask about our coaching plan for all the Girls and Boys big and small. Open Sat and Sunday from 1:30pm. Summer Opening in May every Tues/Thursday

2015 membership available from €45.00
